MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE TEAMS UP WITH UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT TO RELEASE LIMITED-EDITION “MUSIC OF HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS” ALBUM

CLEVELAND, OH (August 25, 2020) – For more than twenty years, the music of Midnight Syndicate has been a part of Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights.  Now, fans of the event will have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition “Music of Halloween Horror Nights” album at the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store, located at the Universal Studios Florida theme park. The album features previously unreleased content and songs created by Midnight Syndicate specifically for Halloween Horror Nights, in addition to other Midnight Syndicate songs that have been used at the event and on the Halloween Horror Nights website since 1999. The limited edition run of 500 copies are hand-numbered and pressed on red vinyl.

“We’ve had a special relationship with Halloween Horror Nights and the Universal Orlando Entertainment team for so many years now,” said Edward Douglas of Midnight Syndicate, “With this album, Gavin and I are extremely excited to memorialize some of the cool stuff we’ve done together.”

“Music of Halloween Horror Nights” will be available at the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store at Universal Orlando beginning August 26, 2020, while supplies last. Located in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida and now open daily during regular park hours, the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store celebrates legendary themes and characters from Halloween Horror Nights’ past with a collection of limited-time merchandise that pays homage to some of the iconic characters and experiences that have haunted guests for years.

About Midnight Syndicate:

For over twenty years, composers Edward Douglas and Gavin Goszka of Midnight Syndicate have been creating instrumental albums that blend original orchestral music and atmospheric soundscapes to create “soundtracks to imaginary films.” A pioneering horror music act, their albums are used as atmosphere in haunted attractions, amusement parks, retail stores, television shows, films, and theatrical productions, as well as by writers, visual artists, and role-playing game aficionados worldwide. For many, the music of Midnight Syndicate is an integral part of Halloween every year.

About Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando:

What began as a three-day event in Orlando in 1991 has become the world’s premier Halloween event – Halloween Horror Nights. Each fall, as the sun sets on days filled with thrills and the night awakens with a frightening chill, the most terrifying names in horror and pop culture take over Universal Studios Florida – forcing guests to come face-to-face with what scares them most. Elaborately-themed haunted houses based on everything from cinematic greats and cult favorites to original abominations created by the twisted minds behind the event come to life – each filled with so much detail, they rival movie sets. Hordes of menacing scareactors prey upon guests in various scare zones throughout the streets of the park. And when guests need a break from the screams, they can enjoy live shows and Universal Studios’ most exhilarating rides and attractions.

However, in 2020, Universal Orlando Resort has made the difficult decision to not hold Halloween Horror Nights this year. Universal Orlando Resort will be focusing exclusively on operating its theme parks for daytime guests, using the enhanced health and safety procedures already in place.  Universal Orlando looks forward to hosting an amazing event in 2021.

I love that album. It’s still in my top 3 “thinking albums”. Play it when I scheme my D&D campaigns.

It is a fantastic album. There’s been a number of times when I shuffle tracks that I guess its tracks are on other albums.

I have that Sega Saturn game, too.
